I don’t think we truly ever really grasp the phrase “live your life”… It’s 1:31 am just got up because I felt thirsty. I pick up my phone and decided to browse until I feel sleepy again. I go unto Twitter and before I could scroll to the end all I could see were people saying condolences, I can’t believe this , what about his wife and baby. Curiosity got the best of me and I did a quick search to find out that, one of the persons I interacted with on social media drowned today.
Shock, disbelief, and all the emotions you feel when you hear of death has triggered me. Now I’m up in bed thinking that this person I’ve never met is gone and his wife and 2 year old is without a husband and father. This man who would often take time out of his busy schedule to share with his many followers what you needed to know in the creative industry topped off with daily musings of his adorable daughter.
Not often am I triggered by the death of someone I have never met, but I’m left to think about how he often shared that we should live our lives to the fullest and not wait for tomorrow as it’s promised to no one. Whatever it is that you’re (myself included) thinking of doing to make your life worthwhile you should do it. Stop wasting time thinking about what-ifs, go out, and do that damn thing.
You see this man when he was 20 years old had this amazing idea that would change how people would engage in the creative industry, he met upon naysayers but that never stopped him from living his truest potential. He made it big by the age of 25. He’s now 34 years old. So young, still have so much to do and he never wasted any time listening to people who thought his dreams weren’t valid.
You only have one life, one you, so start somewhere do something. What will be your legacy? Don’t let people or your loved ones say “you know he/she wanted to do this but never got to or was too afraid to start”. Let the people we leave behind be comforted by the fact you did the unthinkable, you went after what you believed in and you were able to leave a mark.
Live your life, don’t wait until tomorrow, I know how scary the thought of doing something you’ve always wanted to do is but you have to just start. Do the thing that makes you scared. It’s ok if you fail but don’t stop and allow the negative to hold you back. Get up and brush yourself off and start again.
Lastly, in living your life hug the people that matter. Cherish your loved ones, don’t take for granted the people that matter. Especially in this time where most people are not able to visit, make that call you’ll be happy you did.
If you’ve read to the end of my ramblings, Thank you 😊, I appreciate it. Live your life….

When true-crime writer Olivia Cruz disappears with no signs of foul play, her new boyfriend, Lincoln Sharp, suspects the worst. He knows she didn’t leave willingly and turns to attorney Morgan Dane and PI Lance Kruger to find her before it’s too late.
As they dig through Olivia’s life, they are shocked to discover a connection between her current book research on two cold murder cases and the suicide of one of Morgan’s prospective clients.
As Morgan and Lance investigate, the number of suspects grows, but time is running out to find Olivia alive. When danger comes knocking at their door, Morgan and Lance realize that they may be the killer’s next targets.
Bittersweet moment as I write my final thoughts on this novel as well as the series. So much emotions going on right now. Excellent writing by Melinda Leigh. She had me staying up late at night. I’m not mad at all.
Book 6 was centered around the kidnapping of Olivia Cruz, Sharps’s girlfriend. The kidnapping was all kind of weird that left Sharp desperate to find her. He of course got help from Morgan, Lance, Lance mom, and Stella (Morgans sister) to solve this one. Every clue they’d got turned up to be a dead end. Sharp was miserable he and Olivia hadn’t really established anything between them but he knew he was miserable without her and he just had to find her. I was sad for him.
So many leads, something had to give them a clue. Lance and Morgan saved the day they did not only solve the kidnapping but also other mysteries.
The ending was very touching Sharp did something that made Morgan tear up and to tell you the truth I was moved. He did something that would make your heart melt. I’m also happy that Lance and Morgan will be together forever.
Overall well written series, I thoroughly enjoyed the novels. Melinda Leigh has a new fan. I will be looking out for her books. If you see them please tag me.
What’s next? I’m going to finish reading my book of the month mail haul….

I am an early riser on weekends. A fresh pot of coffee always put me in the mood to kick start my day.
Breakfast is usually Eggs 🍳, bacon 🥓 and toast 🍞.

The streets are always chaotic on a weekend, the malls are super busy and it’s funny I’m seeing Christmas decorations everywhere. I would love to get my gifts early this year.
Chores may vary dependent on the weather. I try my best to get as much done so that I can just relax for the rest of the day.
My favorite spot in the house is in my bedroom in my little chair by the window with my books in arms reach. This is where I spend most of the time until late at night. My books are keeping me sane these days and I’m happy I’ve started reading.

I thought everything was going great for the most part. It’s crazy how one minute you feel like you have total control and in the space of a second you lose it.
We had a little fender bender the other day, a few scratches to our car and the other vehicle. We were a bit shaken up but everybody is okay. We exchange information and took pictures, you know the usual when you have an accident. Both parties agreed that we weren’t going to solve the matter through our respective insurance companies. Fine, cool.
We got an invoice from the other party to fix the damages; sizable fee, we paid and thought everything was good.
Fast forward to today, I just got an email from my insurance company, they are asking for a detailed report of the alleged accident that occurred almost 3 weeks ago.
Now of course I’m about to blow a fuse, why is John Doe claiming for the accident when we sorted everything out. Called my husband and vented to him.
John Doe says it’s a simple misunderstanding he just mentioned it to the insurance company as a common courtesy he sent them a follow up email to let them know he’s not seeking a claim.
I’m still thinking about how I feel about all of this. I haven’t even touched my books or done any reading as you can imagine.
On a happier note I’ve started reading The Family Upstairs-Lisa Jewel and my interest is already peaked.Currently on Chapter 2. I got this book in my Book of the Month Subscription. Use code BOOKUP to get $9.99 for your first order.Book of the Month

When a retired sheriff’s deputy is shot to death in his home, his troubled teenage stepson, Evan, becomes the prime suspect. Even more incriminating, the boy disappeared from the scene of the crime.
Desperate to find her son, Evan’s mother begs PI Lance Kruger for help. She knows her son is innocent. Kruger and defense attorney Morgan Dane want to believe that too, but the evidence against the boy is damning. Just as the trail goes cold, another deputy vanishes. His shocking connection to Evan’s stepfather throws the investigation into chaos as Lance and Morgan fear the worst…that Evan is the killer’s new target.
With so many secrets to unravel, will Lance and Morgan find him before it’s too late?
I felt that the plot in this book took forever to come to fold. The suspense was still there, however. Morgan Dane and Lance got a very difficult case with lots of twists and turns, several secrets were unfolded, she continues to the same badass, defense attorney so much so to the detriment of colleagues she has to work with. The DA and Sheriff are not always pleased with how she continues to show up to their department’s shortcomings.
The characters are growing on me and I like the relationships that have developed over the series: Morgan and Lance, Sharp, and Olivia. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

It’s raining where I am. The sounds of the raindrops is very soothing to the ear. Its as if each droplet is in a rush to see who’s going to catch the ground first. I laugh because I’ve never thought of that before.
I love the rain, especially now that I’m snuggled up in my room with this book 📖. We’ve already had dinner; shrimp pasta and garlic bread, yummy!.
I can hear the sounds of frogs and crickets moving about. They’ve been displayed by the rain. Trying to find somewhere warm and safe.
When it rains I reflect more. I think about the present, the future and all the amazing things that I want to achieve. Its important to never take anything for granted. You are enough, you are important and you can be the change you want in this world.
Talking about the change I’m not certain if you’re aware of what’s happening in Nigeria 🇳🇬 What is SARS?. I’m saddened by all the persons who are being killed for standing up for what they believe in. Let’s pause and say a prayer hoping that things will change soon. #PrayforNigeria #EndSARs
Give thanks that you’re in a better space and never take anything for granted.
As always, I hope you’re Ok and safe😊.

I got a notification 🔔 prompt today indicating that one of my Spanish series; Season 2 is airing tomorrow. I’ve already shared how hectic things are, I’m not sure how I’ll juggle that along with reading 2 books at once. I figured I’d share my unhealthy obsession with foreign language related movies. At first I was turned off my subtitles but baby listen overtime you’ll swear you’re a Spanish expert and you’ll follow the movies to the T. I also love that the movies have more episodes other than regular movies you’d watch….
I love my Columbian 🇨🇴 or Spanish focus films 🎬. They’re mostly centered around the cocaine industry. I think I have seen a thousand ways of how the drug business is run. No this is not the time and or the place and I’m not considering entering into it. Focus, I’m sharing my all-time favorite movies on Netflix and I hope you’ll check them out:
These are in no particular order,
1. La Reina del Sur
After years of blood, sweat and tears, a woman from humble beginnings finds herself in the perilous position of being a legend in drug trafficking. FYI anything that Kate Castillo is in is top notch.
A brother and sister were tragically separated at a young age and cross paths as strangers several years later on opposite sides of the law.
3.Sin Senos Si Hay Paraiso
6. Grand Hotel
This movie is based in the 1900’s Servant goes to Aristocatic hotel to find about the murder of his sister. He not only gets the help of the daughter of the owner but also falls in love. This is unheard of no servant is good enough for their daughter or so they think….
These are just my top 6️⃣. Do you watch Spanish films on Netflix? Let’s talk…

For more than twenty-five years, Philadelphia homicide detective Bree Taggert has tucked away the nightmarish childhood memories of her parents’ murder-suicide…Until her younger sister, Erin, is killed in a crime that echoes that tragic night: innocent witnesses and a stormy marriage that ended in gunfire. There’s just one chilling difference. Erin’s husband, Justin, has vanished.
Bree knows how explosive the line between love and hate can be, yet the evidence against her troubled brother-in-law isn’t adding up. Teaming up with Justin’s old friend, former sheriff’s investigator and K-9 handler Matt Flynn, Bree vows to uncover the secrets of her sister’s life and death, as she promised Erin’s children. But as her investigation unfolds, the danger hits close to home. Once again, Bree’s family is caught in a death grip. And this time, it could be fatal for her.
The solid storyline, captivating, and a page-turner. The book wasn’t predictable I enjoyed it thoroughly the characters were relatable and the plot was engaging.
Bree even though troubled with the sorrows of her past was given the task of solving her sisters murder. Her brother in law was the main suspect but he was no where to be found. Promising her sister she vows to bring the killer to justice. Bree got help from Matt her brother in laws friend who wanted to prove his innocence.
I loved how the characters worked together even in the face of danger. Bree is a total bad-ass and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

You’re always reading, 😑 annoyed my husband said to me. He’s been nagging me to spend more time with doing anything else other than being tucked away in our bedroom reading books.
It’s been several months since the pandemic. We would be much busier trying to maneuver our respective jobs , raising a toddler and making things work.
It’s not easy, things are not the same or as they used to be. Our lives have been uprooted and so we have to get used to the new norm. We have conflicting schedules, online schooling taking care of a sick parent. Listen, I’m always cooking, juggling being a wife and caregiver but this sh*t is just too much. I thought I was going to lose it. Things got tighter, financially and while we’re still okay I had to cancel most of my subscription boxes, yes I had to make sacrifices we both had.
So, on October 5 I created this blog. I didn’t know what I was doing, still don’t ,but like all things before I’ll figure it out. I started reading books. One good book led to another, and another you get the picture. Book Reviews came and like this post in between ramblings. I haven’t set up a schedule just yet but I’m working off my mood for now.
How has Covid-19 affected your life?
Reading books and posting on my blog has been helping me not to go completely insane.
That’s all for now, I’m currently reading #WIldGame by Andriene Brodeur-
